What is Reiki?

Reiki is Japanese and means Universal (Rei) life force (ki). Reiki is an ancient healing method that stems from Tibetan Buddhism. Dr. Usui rediscovered Reiki in the 1800's and developed the methods that we use today.

Today, Reiki is probably the most acknowledged and broadly used method of healing. 

How is Reiki performed?

When you receive Reiki Healing, you lay on a Reiki couch, fully clothed, while I gently place my hands in a specific series of hand positions throughout your entire body. Meanwhile, you can just relax and enjoy the silent music.

I also offer Reiki from a distance. In this case you simply need to find a quiet place at home, relax and receive the healing, that I perform at a certain time. 

What is Reiki used for?

Reiki is a subtle energy that creates balance in mind and body. It can be used for numerous purposes, including relief/ reduction of:

Physical pain and tension
Stress/ burnout
Depression

Fatigue/ sleep issues
Hormonal problems
Migraine / headache
Inflammatory conditions

How does it feel?

How Reiki feels varies a lot from person to person and even from time to time. It often depends on where the imbalance is. You may feel it strongly, physically or mentally, or you may feel nothing, Reiki can have an effect no matter the sensation, and sometimes you will feel the impact in the days after the healing.

Essentially, it cannot be described in words. I encourage you to try Reiki to see what it does for you.

How does it work?

Reiki is a universal life force energy that is avaiable to everyone at any time.

As a Reiki healer I practice certain techniques to transmit and fortify the healing energy, yet I'm merely a vessel for Reiki, which flows through my hands and is transferred directly to the recipient. Reiki goes wherever it is most needed to create balance in mind, body and soul.

Duration approx. 75 min. including a short talk (15 min.) after the session.
